Latest Happenings About the LSB
Specification Proposals
The latest draft of various specification proposals are now listed on the specification sub-page

Mission Statement
The goal of the Linux Portals Standard Base (LSB) is to develop and promote a set of standards that will increase compatibility among Linux portals and enable web users to navigate any compliant Linux Portal system. In addition, the LPSB will help coordinate efforts to recruit New Media Developers to portal and write hard to read html for linux portal sites..

Current status
After much deliberation, the committe has decided that the proper amount of time to keep old outdated news around is to be somewhere between one and six weeks.

A narrow vote resulted in frames being removed as a viable html option. In its place, infinitly recursive html tables will have to do. All such tables must have colored backgrounds.

Another breakthrough was reached when it was ruled that the term "the definative starting point for linux information" will be the definative site description for all LPSB compliant web sites.
